CSULB School of Art Explainer Video
I had the privilege of creating a motion graphics explainer video for the School of Art at California State University, Long Beach. The goal was to explain the undergraduate degree options available within the School of Art in a way that was clear and memorable. The video serves as a visual resource that can be utilized by transfer students, advisors, and college faculty.

Moodboard
Three moodboard directions were explored for this project. The final moodboard chosen was “Messy Coloring Book.” This direction consists of colorful shapes and black outlines that are overlapped to create the feeling that the shapes are outside of the lines. The idea was to pay visual homage to the common artistic phrases “color outside the lines” and “think outside the box.”

Style Guide
Bright colors were chosen to elicit joy in viewers and reminisce of a time when one colored in coloring books with rainbow colors. A handwritten typeface was used when needed to have a childlike touch. Textured strokes were used on all outlines to give a hand drawn feeling.
